while everything looks interesting, the lack of any kind of information at all being conveyed to the player makes it not really a game, in my eyes. i dont know what effect anything i do has, and as such playing serves no point. this becomes especially bad in the mutation/extinction phase.

Yeah I have no idea what anything I'm doing even does. So I stopped after about a minute of just clicking around and placing stuff. It looks neat but without some informative on anything this is less a game and more an idea of one. 

apparently its because the "bonus" was for making a game with no text. people who submit to these jams are rarely looking to actually make something good and playable, but rather grab some attention for getting the number 1 spot by hitting all the categories "correctly". i personally, vote ENTIRELY based on game quality, and give games that place their position on a chart over the quality of their work, as low as possible.
