you might need to install DirectX9, a mistake we made with the newer versions was not bundling it with the install, but you can install this DLL here and slap it into the game files with the other dlls.
No. It's a limitation with the game engine. The old engine is trying to do too much stuff, I think. But seeing as you guys are rebuilding the game, I guess it doesn't matter much.
