It seems this issue won't go away by itself, and it keeps me from progressing. I downloaded the 1f version to see if it would work, but the problem is still here.

I'm running the Linux version on Cinnamon Mint. When I try to enter the choir room in order to do some dirty job, the game halts and quits with the message in console window:

Error: Character cMatt_H is assigned a invalid loop 1 in view 140 (valid range 0..0)
An error has occurred. Please contact the game author for support, as this is likely to be an error in game logic or script and not a bug in AGS engine.
(Engine version 3.6.2.13)

Any ideas on how to go around it?

That’s probably a talking issue with Matt. Let me take a look tomorrow and see if I can fix it. If so I’ll work on posting a fix. Thanks for the heads yp

I ran through the current build and could not find how to recreate this. I'll release an update, if you still have a problem let me know.

Okay, I tested the 1h version and it seems to do exactly the same. So the game screen disappears as I enter the choir room and the debug texts appear.

Are you reloading a saved file or starting from scratch?

I used an old save game.

Perhaps I should use some of the coming weekend and start from the clean table.

The problem with AGS is the saved games save the game in the current state. Sadly this doesn't play well with program updates. I hate to say this but try starting over. If you need a cheat sheet let me know and I can lead you through getting to where you were.
