The only way is through the Patreon. Currently they’re the the only ones with good integration for Itch.io.
As for the news: we’re already in the testing phase. It’ll be about 2-3 weeks until 1.7 public is released. Still not sure about the exact date, but we’ll put up a banner once it's confirmed.
