I notice that the expansion animations have lower resolution probably due to being zoomed out. And as dumb as this sounds, can you possibly add some sort of manual mode for the expansion (slideshow-esque) so you can see the change at your own pace?
At the time I'm not sure how I would do that in rpg maker. This game will not have it but future games might!
