help i cant seem to get to lv3 with evie

Me neither. I got lvl5 wih Rebecca, but can't find her in the church taking lessons at any time (as the Evie tip states). Note that I have seen her taking lessons some time before getting lvl5 with Rebecca.

May it be caused by a confict between the Evie leveling event (visit church when Evie IS taking lessons) and the Rebecca leveling event (visit church when Evie is NOT taking lessons)?

I managed to advance with this. I don't know what fixed it, but here's what i did. I sent Evie to work early in the morning and then skipped the whole day. Then I quicksaved the game and exited it. When I run the game and loaded the saved game, Evie and Rebecca were in the church at noon.

Evie is in two positions at noon:

- Studying.

- The Park.

You can ask her in the morning what she is going to do. And even tell her what to do.
