Lovely game, lovely developer. The game is really fun to play with pokemon up to gen 6 and i'd love to see later generations be added, its awesome how frequent the updates and bugfixes are. I'm playing on android. I've been desperate for a good Pokemon TCG battling implentation on a video game and i was super excited when i heard about this game and i:m very happy to be able to say that it didn't let my excitement down when i played it. I've got only 3 issues at hand.
Firstly the game is too easy i've only had noticable problems on the early game trying to be greedy but apart from that mid/late game has been full of enemy wipeouts.
Secondly with the 1.5 update(wasn't happening in 1.4) whenever i open the game up switch back to it from another tab it pulls my keyboard up. Not a game breaking bug but still annoying.
Thirdly when in battle if youre using a move that can attack any foe and want to attack a foe in the backline you need to press the up/down key not the left key. I dont know if this is intended but its annoying to navigate with the up/down key to target a foe whose main position on the board is to the left of the others.
Other than that the game runs pretty smoothly after 1.5 and everything else is exactly how you'd expect the game to be and my cat approved of the game when i asked him. There are a few things i'd love to see be implemented into the game.
A randomizer start. Everything else is randomized enough but the starters. It'd be very fun to have a randomized start and it'd compliment the games roguelike element perfectly. Different ways of implementing this could be plain randomizer with locking high tier pokemons such as the legendaries away from the start. Or giving the player a certain ammount of points and making them choose from a numbered randomized pokemon. Like a limited version of versus modes picking.
Another thing is of course expanding the already existing game mechanics such as adding more pokemon as stated above or adding more items such as held items. The game has a lot of potential and is already pretty fun to play.
