Only picked up this novel this friday and man... the heartstrings were pulled heavily with Catherine. I understand why MC would deem her dad a "loser" because of his own backstory with his mom. But damn that felt harsh regardless.. I like the man. He seems like one of the few decent people in the game and even the other families acknowledge this to some degree. I hope to see more of Catherine's sisters too, they just bring in so much more of a family vibe too.
Anyway... I truly loved reading through this all. So far its just been top tier character writing. If Eternum sets the bar for animation and scenery, this novel sets the bar for genuine character development and (poly) relationship developments.
