On second thought, I think it would be funnier if it showed the truth about what's going on because it's already absurd enough. I think it's better that way because it shines a spotlight on the ridiculousness of the policies in place by simply removing the sugar coating. It's like in The Emperor's New Clothes where the kid says, "the king is naked!" It proves that: the people who disapprove of UK's current status quo are right because all they have to do is remove the sugar coating from an accurate description of what's going on. It's better to say, "this is the craziness that is in place" than "this is what the world would be like if there was more craziness" because it would be more likely to change the minds of people who are undecided on the issues at hand.
