Apologies for a follow-up question, but do you remember the context of what you were doing when exiting the equipment menu caused the game to crash? Were you in combat? If so, do you remember what battle you were in?
I remember that I was in the overworld in the "believer" store in the mall and I wanted to equip a golden ring (but no the steel ring that I bought), when I finished equipping it and and pressing the escape key to go back; that's when it crashed. I hope this helps!
Ah, it did! I think it was a problem with the game still thinking you were in the middle of a battle and opening the 'battle retry' menu instead of the normal main menu, caused by a small mistake in the code of forfeiting a Challenge Fight. I think I've fixed it now.
