Really cool concept, but I didn't get any upgrades on my first run.

I got 3 in the first room on my second run though!  Seems inconsistent.  I don't like that I lose all my upgrades when I "beat" the level though.  

Beautiful pixel art, and I love the menus.  Great framework.

Each enemy has a 1 in 4 (25%) chance to drop an upgrade, that may be why it seems inconsistent
