I played this game because a few friends suggested it to me. I was told that the story was good and handled well, but when I played i had so many issues with it I just really wanted to take it here.
My biggest issue is how the SA is handled. I personally believe that SA in games with this genre can be very compelling (when done right). I think its good to add representation for these kinds of dynamics and I think with the lore these characters have, it could have felt very realistic and understandable for them.
The issue is, I feel like the game doesnt take it seriously whatsoever. It happens so often but it read (to me) like it was more for fanservice than anything adding depth. After the tent scene with Harlequin, the MC has to comfort Pierrot. I dont understand that, because his feelings shouldn't feel like the focus of that situation at all, or at least, I feel like the MC shouldnt be noticing it. Nobodys mind would be that calm after something so distressing.
Then, the MC acts like its normal?? They say they're going to take some more time to decide on Pierrot and Harlequin, but I dont think that any reasonable person would act so casual and calm about someone who assaulted them less than a week ago. To top it off, when he breaks into your house, you have to either hug him or apologize to him..?? It doesnt make any sense to me, and I dont know how this was implemented into the game without someone noticing how disgustingly weird that is. I dont know why an SA victim should be forced to apologize or initiate physical contact with their assaulter.
The MC seems to have a severe lack of fear, and it just makes it so unrealistic to me. No reasonable person, especially because the MC is just some random employee, would be acting as logically and calmly as the MC.
Another issue I have is just the sheer amount of sexual content. If thats just what the game is meant to be about, then feel free to ignore this (as its not always a bad thing), but I felt like there was a lack of character development and writing and most of it just felt filled with the MC getting harassed😭
Ive only played through one route, but by the time I finished the one I was on, I just felt so dissapointed with the game. I really dont think another ending would have changed my mind on it whatsoever I dont know if you would consider ever rewriting it, but I really hope you do. It feels so cheap, I struggled to understand how people praised the writing. This may sound harsh, but I find the way the topics were handled were insanely dissapointing
