*The first two are more important than the rest.*
***First of all, any hints on the clock puzzle? I tried inputting the time on the clock, is there another location it's referencing?
***Secondly, after getting the tainted chapel basement key from the swamp (serpentman), I have unlocked and opened the door but I'm unable to pass through. Is that intentional or not?
Bugs:
When counterattack enemies (specifically bosses) sometimes the counterattack will finish the health bar and kill the boss instantly instead of transferring over to their other health bars (or just kill them outright).
If you sprint at the right time before you hit the swamp tiles in the serpentmen area, you will ignore the terrain and move throughout the entire area normally.
When talking to jester in verdant sewers, if you say you have the item and don't give it to him, you can repeat the dialogue and get as many as you like(infinite) meat pies and flasks.
If you kill yourself and the enemy at the same time, (close fire bombing for example) you will die even if you have Elsbeth's soul. I'm fine with it tbh
Fighting large enemies, (the ones you can't advance or recede in) sometimes if you advance and get the input that you can't move forward, during the enemy's turn they will repeat the dialogue that you can't move forward thus trivializing the fight because they can't do damage (or anything)
In the old palace (using the idol from the old catacombs) where you fight the boss and upgrade your soul, after beating the boss and leaving, if you reenter you are teleported out after a short period of time. If you reenter more times, (in my case I left without getting the soul upgrade) you will not be teleported out and be just stuck there without the ability to leave. Rip last soul upgrade
SKILLS AND BALANCE !
"Get 10 guts after a battle"= run away and get 10 free guts!!
"Extra attack for 10 guts"= well well well, that's easy now.
I believe after defeating the first kithe or main bosses, a merchant appears (not the hidden one near the bloater and nail) that has an accessory for 1 extra attack that's cheap
Easily get 3 attacks against enemies, "one shotting" minor enemies. Without taking into account backstabs
"Martial blood, 20% counterattack plus buckler, 10% counterattack, Swerve, 10% evasion rate, Counter riposte, some enemy attacks can be countered when missed, Infamous butcher, random limb attacks." In a game where the enemies miss a fair bit already, I get a message of some counterattack or limb attack every turn or so.
Elsbeth's soul basically grants you the ability to turn off your brain with up to 3 extra lives.
Almost every enemy can be reliably backstabbed, trivializing fights. Literally the most op thing in the game, cannot be stated enough. Stationary enemies that block passages can be aggro'd, de aggro'd and backstabbed when returning to original location.
Coin is plentiful and food cheap (food is cheap therefore killing enemies is readily available) , chef is especially cheap. Furthermore, food is abundant enough where guts can be largely ignored even with strong attacking and skills that consume guts. (fishing is fun though)
Overall, the pacing felt absurd at times, I discovered the cat and the abomination of fear (memory of the idol) fight before getting the torch (and meeting the cat)! When I beat minotaur and the main boss I had stacked up so many skill points that it was a breeze.
