Dev creates a great game with a unique premise but proceeds to dig themselves too deep on just how many branching paths they create. Then, instead of pulling some of those paths and narrowing their vision (perhaps saving the removed ideas for other games), they all but abandon the game and proceed to start up several new projects instead, keeping their supporters just hooked enough with content so that a "soon" is all they need to believe the original isn't actually abandoned.  Sad turn of events, and all too common.
