Honestly the emotional scenes in this game are insane. I know a lot of people say this VN is too weird or quirky, but out of any media I’ve seen, nothing has captured panic attacks and growing up emotionally sensitive with parents who don’t care about your mental health as accurately as this. I connect with Jayce so much. Growing up I had pannic attacks super often and would cry almost daily even at the age of 13. My dad, instead of comforting me, would yell and look down on me. He was always disappointed constantly comparing me to my brother who was never as emotional as I was.
Even though this VN is full of 2000s weeb internet humor it genuinely made me cry. Maybe that seems pathetic to some people but honestly… I don’t care. Also Tom’s relationship with Jayce is really beautiful. At first I liked Maccon more because… well he had “bigger” assets, but the way you wrote Tom’s character was absolutely top-notch.
