Finally completed this game and I need to gush about the changes, overall love the Recut and it's "fixed" essentially any of the (admittedly minor) issues I had with the original game

I had some problems with Lyell, Xanthe's and Lien's routes in the original game, a lot of them weren't serious or problems with the game itself more just personal preference stuff, but the recut has literally solved them all
With Lyell I had a lot of problems with the way it was structed, it felt like it had a lot of unnecessary filler that didn't service the plot or main relationship. I'm so glad that's changed, the route feels so much more condensed now and was a lot easier and more fun to go through than the original one
With Xanthe it was 100% a personal thing, I just didn't like her characterization. She felt outwardly antagonistic to everyone, constantly poking at the other characters insecurities and not taking no for an answer and I'm glad that stuff was toned down, in fact I really liked her role in Bae's route. It makes it a lot easier for me to emphasize with her during her route (which I liked a lot more than I thought, like oh god I'm a Xanthe fan now)
With Lien in the original game, I thought both her character and route were fine, but the main (again very personal and not objective at all) Issue I had was early on was with the whole "morality of stealing" argument. I always felt Jaylene treated Lien weirdly to me, and came off a little out of touch from her. With the minor changes I really like the way it's done now, as Jaylene actually makes her points when in the original I felt like it was pretty vague
And Jaylene's characters feels a lot more refined now, like she has a proper set personality. She definitely did in the Og game but I felt past the prologue and some scenes here and there I never personally felt like she had a personality I could pin down and most of the enjoyment i got out of her character was her dynamic with the other characters more than anything else. I really like her new characterization she's such a fun character and protagonist now
Anyway uh I'm not gonna being able to shut the fuck up about this game. I can't wait to be completely normal and replay it every month
