I don't normally mess with RPG Maker games because they all kind of look the same and have the same vibe to them but this one took me for a spin I wasn't really expecting. Immediately from the start menu I could see that this was going to be a good one, like I mentioned RPG Maker games all have that same look to them especially in the start menu but this game really is an outlier to that fact with the custom font, themed colors, and overall tone of the pixel art really adding together to already make the game look so different from other RPG Maker titles in just the start menu alone. The aesthetic of this game and its environments were really cleverly put together (especially with the first scene of blathers looking as dreadful as possible) and I like how everything just carries a sort of "cold" vibe to it, that along with all of the character and background pixel art meshing well together created a really nice world to explore. I already brought up the fonts but I'd like to add on to that by saying that the different font colors were also a nice touch and stood out to me as really situationally fitting. Some notable but small mentions of things that I thought were pretty neat were the music that stopped playing when blathers goes to the back to get his keys which added a sense of tenseness to the situation, and all of the music in general was very good and very fitting, and the actual horror of the game being more in the background for the most part was a very good choice and I don't think the game would have had as good a final chase scene of there had been other big scares or anything like that before that. I only really had two problems with the game and the first one is that it seemed a little laggy for me at times, maybe it was just me but some hallway portions felt a little choppy with the camera movement, and the second one is that I didn't realize that I could go around the wall in the far left far top room to get to the display cases to place the bugs, maybe I missed a sign or something but if not I really feel like that could have been a little more clear. Other than those two things though this was a great game and I really hope you make more like this, I love taking normal friendly characters from often happy and mundane games and turning their worst fears and phobias into horror scenarios, its a thing you see a lot in fan work and fan writing of a character but this is the first time I've seen a game about the subject and it makes me realize how much more I want of it. Great work and keep it up!
