Tried C.O.R.N. for the first time, here's some gameplay:

  • Really neat menu music. In general title screen looks very inviting and makes a good first impression with that camera flying over the hills.
  • Camera can move while in menu.
  • Toggling between commands like harvest/don't harvest should have some visible cue on the button that says what's the current state
  • Can't mass deconstruct floor.
  • Can't mass cancel floor construction.
  • 20:20 character got stuck
  • You need A LOT of trees to build anything
  • Return to main menu button does not work
  • Furniture should be moveable.
  • Not being able to dig a cave was disappointing
  • Mining rules are confusing. I couldn't mark "inside" blocks that are accessible from the top to be mined, but I could mark blocks under other blocks despite the fact the guys will never mine them.
  • Nights feel really long
  • I wanted to read trait descriptions but there's no tooltips.
  • 40:10 can't build wooden floor under the door or beds
  • Text under orders is extremely hard to read.
  • guys don't sleep in beds
  • I was trying to build forge which requires 4 stone, my inventory said I have 4 stone but despite that forge was never built until I mined more stone
  • 58:25 i tried to deconstruct beds inside the house, but instead it deconstructed floor that was on upper floor that was meant to be invisible.
  • I don't know what setting this is supposed to be seeing as we're building dirt walls using power tools, but I like how silly and cartoony it is.

Looks very advanced, but there's still too many missing features to be playable beyond building a house.

Hi forkodev, Thanks for playing, and thank you for providing me the video. All great points as well.

It's a big web of systems working together and things can go really wrong. Seems like the characters getting stuck and not responding is a common issue, I should really address that ASAP. The forge probably wasn't built because the inventory display on the top left side of the screen doesn't show the accurate state of the items in your possession. You must have not had enough materials. And yes, building takes way too many resources as of now. Going to address all these points, and think about how I can implement the cave building .
