I'm having problems with opening the app, I have tried adding itch etc to whitelist as well as disabling my security software to no avail. I also did a clean install of the app but after turning my PC off and back on the next day same issue
The following worked for me for that same issue: quit itch app, open task manager, look for any remaining background processes with itch in the name and kill them. Restart itch app.
You're welcome. Can't believe this problem still has not been dealt with after 2 yrs (it stills comes up from time to time on my machine), and that the community manager claims it's an antivirus problem (it has absolutely nothing to do with that)
