Everything about the writing is so gorgeous---this concept is so beautiful---as an aspiring creative writing student---I'm immensely inspired by this. This makes me want to get off my lazy ass and type away at my computer!
All of the moments describing the Iredecci made my heart ache and soar at the same time! I'm going to sound like a broken record, but it's GORGEOUS! I'm only jealous I haven't thought of an idea so wonderful and whimsical as this! It's fiction like this that makes me adore what I'm studying and drives me to accomplish my dream.

It was this moment I fell in love:
"Her voice, every city-dweller's voice for that matter, is flat and blunt. Like a single, short note, plucked on a psaltery. No harmony, no accompaniment.
Lonely."
The language you use is so intentional and quite frankly, breath taking. It speaks to me (and resonates, lol) in ways I haven't heard or felt in a while when reading fiction. I love just about everything about it (and I'm only on chapter 2! Or was it 3? I was so invested I lost track of time and place, oops)---this is definitely one of my favorite IFs ever---I could truly just ramble in this comment for hours and bore you, but alas, I'll leave it on one final note: All of my dances are saved for Tellus/Coda <3
