First of all, patience. Learning how to draw takes time, that is completely normal :3
If redrawing characters feels hard right now, I would suggest starting without color. Try to focus on shapes using sketches or simple black and white drawings. For inspiration, you can look at the works of Krekk0v and Tonka_Kryga. Also, try focusing on just one body part at first. Many people start with faces, since they are usually the most appealing and expressive part.
This is not always recommended, but I personally think it helps a lot. Try copying artworks you like as close to 1 to 1 as possible. The important part is to never claim those works as your own and always treat them as practice only. This helps build hand control, line confidence, and understanding of why an artist uses certain techniques.
Do not feel bad about not being able to draw characters from imagination. In reality, most artists rely on references, often multiple ones. Being able to draw absolutely everything from memory is not realistic. Looking at other artists’ work or real life references is a normal and important part of the process.
My main advice is simple. Do not give up, do not be too hard on yourself if things do not work out right away, and always remember that drawing should be something you enjoy.
Hope this helps! ~💖
