Thank you for the game!! I had a lot of fun playing it..!
I felt like I could see some of the ENA: Dream BBQ in the writing and some of the graphics with the kind of mixed media approach (the pixel trees in the BG mixed with the more 3D graphics is really neat, and the font choice gives a magical vibe)
I also dunno if I could pinpoint every single thing that makes me feel this way, but the game is so nostalgic???? I feel like its partly the simplistic graphics and the way you write... idk but its NEAT!
I liked the way you intertwined the story and gameplay together by making the puzzle depend on the dialogue (your writing is really neat so the short snippets we get each time always leaves me wanting for more)
The little hints given when you get the wrong answer is also a fun touch (I admit I got the wrong answer on purpose sometimes just to see what would be written HAHAHA)
You also introduced different parts of the gameplay at a good pace (changing red blocks to green through the puzzles and unlocking words that weren't even there before)
I did get stuck at one part (when the words Lost, Ready, and Gone appear) so I don't think I finished it yet. I feel like I tried all the possible combinations, but I might be missing something obvious so I'll try again later!
I'm surprised you made something like this in barely more than a week?? (I think that's how long it took since that's when I joined the jam but correct me if I'm wrong) It's a really fun game!
Randomly: it inspired me to remake games/mechanics of games I like as a way of practicing because I feel like you captured the core of Baba Is You really well while also putting your own spin on the gameplay, so I'm gonna see how that goes!
I really enjoyed!!! Thank you for making (Winter) Is (Cold) for me!!
