Why is the steam release windows only? I would love to play this on MacOS through steam.

I did some searching online and my understanding is that that its a effort vs benefit situation where the MacOS market isnt big enough for developers to justify the technical effort required for Steam MacOS compatibility and long term support.
Of course i could be wrong ( im just a fan ) so take it with a grain of salt.
