You just download the new version, I don't understand where you're having an issue. Are you on mobile or PC/Mac?
Thanks I got it working , but I have a new problem. I played like 5 hours of the game and had saved my progress but when I went back to continue playing it said I had to extract the files to open it which it had asked me my first time to do, so I thought nothing of it. But after I had extracted the files and reopened the game, all my progress was gone and I couldn't access my save game. Is there any way in which I can get it back
If you were playing from inside the zipped folder then it wouldn't have saved your save files as you don't have permissions inside the zipped folder, you always need to extract the game before doing anything that would create any files.
If you still have your old version you can move all the files in that save folder over and continue from your old game
