So having gotten to 40+ on my pc and 30+ on my phone, I can definitely say this game has tons of addictive fun. I rather enjoy the simple mechanics and progressive transformations, and I can't wait to see where this goes from here. So, thank you for all that. Christmas came early.
That being said, there are some annoyances, the biggest one having been said already: duplicates of powe ups/TFs being offered at once. This particularly irks me because being forced to take a slime tf feels like a punishment (the passive are fine, decent picks, it's specifically the hands, body, head options). I typically aim for either full Gnoll, a combination of Gnoll and Kitsune, or full Kitsune, in that order.
The reason why gnoll is ranked to highly (other than the obvious, smelly reasons) is the short range becomes a very great boon when it comes to collecting xp drops. Optimal play seems to be to move as little as possible and collect the ring of dots that crops up every now an then, so the aura and claws are just so much better than anything else in those slots. Kitsune is more annoying because you have to move farther and more often, but piercing gaze is also crazy good, blowing away all the competition for the head slot. Slime has some good passives, but it's TFs are the worst, with the hands being actively bad.
Personally, I would like four options on level up, one slot for each of the TFs and their upgrades and one for the passives. It might lower the RNG rogue lite aspects of it, but RNG can be disappointing more often than not.
