I'm really enjoying this so far! Your writing is amazing and really good at drawing me in, the music choices and sound affects add so much, and the storyline and dialogue so far are so intriguing. I am having one minor issue on my end though, forgive me if you've already answered this but I can't find it anywhere if you have. All the choices have a square with a backwards slash through it, in front of them. I am aware that this is something I should be able to turn on/off but am struggling to figure out how. Sorry again if this is something you've answered before, and thank you for sharing your wonderful work with us!
Hi, and thank you so much for the kind thoughts! I really appreciate them. Sharing my work would mean absolutely nothing if nobody liked the story, so I'm really glad it was an intriguing demo, soundscape included!
No need to be sorry for providing feedback, it's great to know if something isn't quite right - I'm a coding novice, after all. The symbol I use to differentiate choices in GoB is an arrow, which should look like this:

Is that also showing as a square with a backwards slash through it, for you?
Tried to recreate the problem and couldn't - switching fonts doesn't seem to be an issue, and the option to turn "hints" on and off at the end of choices (flirt options, conversation enders, etc.) worked alright for me as well. Usually when there's a font incompatibility, it's a blank square. Never seen square with a backwards slash through it!

It might be helpful to know what browser you're using, or if you're reading on your phone - I assume it has something to do with a font support issue? If anyone else is experiencing the same, please let me know. My only advice at the moment is to try switching to a different font in options, or using another browser, if possible. Fingers crossed this works for you.
