Decided to comment on every upgrade! Reminder that this is all my subjective opinion and I can be very wrong.

Also for some reason when playing in chrome everything ran at double speed. No clue why, it ran at normal speed on phone.

  • Human
    • Blaster Pistol: It, seems to be the exact same before and after? It might do more damage, but kitsune gun is just better. Everything but slime hand is better it feels like.
    • Combat Magnifier: Very good for most things, especially with multiple aoes abilities available. not sure if it effects orbiting blade though.
    • Rocket Boots: More speed is always useful in these types of games.
    • Investiture Magnet: Not too useful. Its nice to have, but i would pick most things over it.
  • Slime
    • Bounce: Currently a bit of a suicided option, as you will always take damage with this, and even the slime combo form couldn't keep up with it.
    • Dumb Blaster: This has killed me a few times. doesn't do enough damage per pellet and 90% of pellets will miss or hit other targets, meaning nothing dies except for you.
    • Trail Damage: Nice and simple, seems nice even if I am not good at using it
    • Glob Belly: Take less damage. Not a great passive, but not a bad one either. 
    • Health Regen: Healing is very useful. a great upgrade basically all the time.
  • Yeen
    • Blood Crazed Maw- Very bad currently, as it seems to reset the attack timer when you get hurt
    • Aura Damage: doesn't do much damage, but is plenty to deal with the fast small guys. very helpful 90% of the time, and with any size increases it becomes able to solo, even with zero damage upgrades of any kind.
    • Melee Slash: Does a lot of damage and seems to be able to hit multiple targets. Nicely Balanced by it's short range.
    • Battle Haste: attack faster to kill more enemies. always nice to have.
    • Rage: do more damage, nice for trail and aura, but nothing else needs damage and currently it is much more important to be able to hit more making another attack much better.
  • kitsune
    • Piercing Shot: A nice piercing attack. Stays useful no throughout due to being able to hit multiple enemies at once. Doesn't seem that effected by size increases, as in not sure if it is effected at all. Also seems able to one-shot everything.
    • Orbiting blade: A bit far out, it takes effort to use effetely until the swarms get to big and the fact it is away from you starts to be a very big problem. Would be nice if it was possible to get more then one blade though, as its greatest weakness is being only one on its circle.
    • Seeking Flame: Seems to be default gun but faster. Technically does less damage but rate of fire more then makes up for it. Doesn't seem to track enemies at all though
    • Accelerated Cast: Doesn't seem that useful except with orbiting blade, as nothing else benefits from being able to move faster.
    • Karmic Smite: Randomly hurts a single thing. falls off super fast due to single target and long cooldown.

Final note is that upgrades for the abilities feel really rare, and you don't get many opportunities to from the xp scaling I can get about about 5 upgrades a run, 7 max, and if going for a form that is already 4 taken up. Even when not going for a form they show up super rarely, as most times i see 1 upgrade for an ability for an entire run max.
