This game has AI slop in it, don't play it. Go support real artists instead.
Bad take. This is someone's passion project that is completely free to play and enjoy. It is very clear a lot of thought and care went into it. You want to make a big deal out of AI use? Go after the companies that are firing people and replacing them with AI, or companies that CAN afford artists but don't because AI is cheaper. Hating on 1 dude who is making a game in his free time and earning nothing doing it is NOT the anti-AI revolution you think it is.
If he truly did care, he'd have done the art himself, or used other methods like his inspirations did, who btw, were usually single people making games in their free time just like him, making art is free and easy. But instead he's cheaping out by using an algorithm that steals from artists and directly benefiting from it, as his patreon is already active and has paying subscriber(s). And who's to say he stopped at art, for all we know this could've been written by gpt, the code might've be fully ai too, he could be fully benefiting from other people's work and you'd be defending a grifter.

I’ve tried (and still plan) to make my own art, but time and skill limits make that difficult for me right now. Any tools I use don’t replace the creative work or decisions behind the game.
