I’m working on another tiny game (for my jam) that should easily be completable in under 30 minutes. It follows a narrative and has text at the beginning and end, but the bulk of the game is focused on exploration via direct character control. Based on this description, would it still be eligible for the IF showcase?

When you say "exploration", what does that consist of? We've had Bitsy games in the past that reward exploration with text about the environment that would qualify. If there's no text whatsoever in those sections that is definitely a grey area where we would have to play it to determine whether it qualifies.
