Charming little game with an amazing soundtrack, a funny story and an addictive gameplay loop, yet with one main issue;
This game is, as mentioned, very entertaining, and its soundtrack pleasantly surprised me. However, despite its gameplay being very enjoyable and addictive (like coffee, the real villain!!!1!!), there is an issue that somewhat disrupts the flow of the gameplay, and that is the way in which new victims spawn, since the way in which victims spawn was programmed in a way (assuming that it was programmed so that when you kill a victim, another one spawns near your location) which made it so many times during my playthrough, after killing a group of victims, instead of being able to keep running forward and make a bigger streak moving further into the map, it was convenient or I was directly forced, depending on the situation, to stay where I was, since it was very likely that more victims would spawn in the same spot where I had killed the previous ones. In other words, it was common that many times after killing a group of victims who were together, I could turn around and see two, three, or more respawn just a second or two later, which meant that the chances of more victims spawning in front of me (Aka, further into the map) were lower, leading to me having to stay in the same area for an extra amount of time instead of being able to move around the map collecting kills.
But this is just one negative aspect compared to hundreds of positive ones, such as the incredible soundtrack that had me headbanging while consuming the blood of innocent victims and the charming graphic style that reminded me of the arcade games that I loved so much growing up, in a way I felt like a kid again, no expectations, just pure fun, it reminded me how it felt to play just for fun, and for that, I give this game and the devs my grattitude <3.
A charming game and a clear passion project that can be completed in around 25 minutes but guarantees lots of fun to be had!
If I had to give it a grading, it would definitely sit at 8/10 for me! Amazing work!
