Sorry to hear that! Unfortunately, I don't have a Mac to test on, so I can't give you a solution I'm 100% sure will work.
However, I've searched online and found that many other people have the same issue with Ren'Py games on Mac. You can find on Reddit other people who had the same problems. It seems to be related to macOS Gatekeeper blocking "unknown" apps.
Since I can't test this myself, I'd really appreciate if you could let me know what works for you! It'll help other Mac users in the future.
I defintely will, feeling like I'm getting closer to the root of the problem, however I'm kinda stuck with this error message in the terminal:
UniversityofChoices.app/Contents/MacOS/./../Resources/autorun/UniversityofChoices.py", line 27, in <module>
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named '__future__'
It seems to be an error related to python
