From my experience this is happening with any potion that you don't have any amount of one of the ingredients for/ dont have the recipe for (not really sure on ingredient amounts as i couldnt find anywhere to see what you currently have)
I have a save before i bought the growth infusion recipe and another after i bought it and after buying a bunch of elixer of temptations where both the growth infusion lvl 1 and goddess curves lvl 3 are jumping to the hallway
Edit: I was going to check on the growth infusion potion after buying a growth essance the next day after work, but the game boots you back to the main screen on day 20
