Theres so much thats great about this game. I love the world you've made, the characters are all fun, and your art is always a breath of fresh air in this ai nightmare we're stuck in. But christ the combat kills my motivation. Losing to one gnome at 2 hp because everyone just starts missing for 3 turns, the lake bosses fully one shotting like 2 people in one turn sometimes and sleeping the others. If there was more strategy i could apply to these fights i wouldnt have a problem but the fact that it all comes down to rng leaves me just frustrated. Its version 0.1 so I'm still excited to see where everything goes though. All your other projects have been great and i see no reason to think this one will be any different in the long run

Combat needs polishing yes. Rule of thumb is "Avoid fight on lvl 1".
Also lake bosses need party lvl 3 to defeat, if you can't beat it just continue main quest.
