Doubt it, since the link to the server was IN the game, and on itch, even tough it's been like.... 4-5 years since then I think?
The earliest version I have on hand is v0.10.3.6 (Was released on December 21 2021, so 4 years ago). Here's a menu from it:
I'm not sure where to look for the mentioned Discord link,maybe you're talking about an even older game build?
Through archive.org I managed to find how our page looked in 2020 and an even earlier release main menu:
On the 5 year old page the description had this:

And the old menu doesn't have any discord links.
