As per the description there is a restart button (R)!
I'm not very good at art so the game uses a mix of free assets I found and my own poorly drawn assets (you can tell which ones were made by me because they're the ones that look like they were badly drawn in ms paint). The look of the game is something I intend to work more on in the future, especially in regards to giving it a more coherent theme.
The point of the game being a puzzle is that it's meant to be challenging and it should probably take you more than a couple of attempts to figure out how to beat the level (that has been my design philosophy at least).
A jump counter is a good idea and something I will look into how to implement in a nice way, similarly with sound effects.
