YES! You pointed out the one issue I've had with this off the bat. I feel like Mio was just tossed into the fray with no built-up, and it completely crashed the story for me. It is over-all a wonderful story, and having her being introduced as she was, was smart, yet it does feel like she was tossed in willy nilly. There was no rhyme or reason (so to speak) about her inclusion and it felt off to say the least. But alas, we will see how this goes as the story is written.
