LOVE THIS GAME! however it is a DEMO and is only updated once every 6 months. be aware this will take a while.

if you buy the game on itch, then you can always download the latest itch version. Itch is one version behind the patreon version, feel free to reach out to me directly if you have any issue with this

First of all, thank you for your support.
My passion is making this game and your support is helping to make that happen, so thank you.

Second, I understand your frustration and maybe I can help to ease that by providing some clarity on the versions.

One version behind means one full version behind. so 18, then 19 then 20.
18.1, vs 18.2 vs 18.3 is just if I release a version and I catch a typo or I fix a bug. When I release on patreon, I release the buggy version, the patrons test it, then I put out fixes until its stable and I have gotten all the bugs.

When I release on itch, I release the latest of the last version. So you will never deal with the 18.1 or 18.2 or 18.3 but jump straight to the 18.5 or whatever the latest version is. So this is to your benefit. But if you want to help debug the Beta versions, you are welcome to subcribe on patreon.

As for the value, I understand that my game is expensive and I'm sorry for that. But to put it in perspective, I have spent about $20,000 of my own money in cash on development. I have received maybe half of that in revenue.

I have also spent my own time (I'm a solo developer) over the last 5 years with no salary. If I made a standard programmer salary at 100k/year that means I have spent $520k dollars to create a product that you receive, with updates in perpetuity for $13.

I'm sorry for the delay in updates lately. I wanted to have the last update out in October, but due to personal circumstances beyond my control I lost about 6 weeks of worktime. I'm optimistic that I will have the next update out this weekend on patreon for $20 subscribers, which means it will go out to $10 subs the following week and I will update the itch version at that time. So roughly 2 weeks from now.

Again I'm sorry for your frustration, and grateful for your support. Hopefully this clears things up. Feel free to reach out anytime on my discord server for updates or if you want to chat with me directly.

I charged $13 for a game. You felt that was a bad deal. Fair enough. But I do appreciate your support.
If you would like a refund, please let me know.
I'm also happy to discuss any other aspects of game dev more with you if you like, u can reach me on discord or u can email me.

LOVE THE GAME!!! to be clear i didnt think it was a bad deal. I love the concept and encourage anyone listening to play the game. it is original and quite brilliant! i think there are huge gaps between itch releases. I think telling people that they are buying a game entitles them to at least updates on progress. When you sell a game that isn't done you are selling a promise. YOU seem to think its a bad deal to "sell" your game for the price YOU posted. What I think is a bad deal is paying $240 a year ( your words 5 years in progress 5x240= $1200). and i think people should know that what they are buying is incomplete and goes 6 months with minor updates. LOVE THE GAME!!! not paying a subscription that costs more than game pass. once finished i would gladly pay 30 maybe even 40 for it if it matches the standard 1-2 dollars per hour threshold or has REALLY awesome art or mechanics which to be clear this game DOES! all im saying is you'd be better off calling it what it is a demo or update it with more regularity which is the standard on all these sites.
