At first I was unable to load a save made at the end of chapter 46. But I ran the chapter 46 exe, made a new save, and was able to load that save with the chapter 47 exe.
Yup. The quicksaves should still work, at least on the PC version.
If you're unable to load past saves, 1. Crank up the game. 2. Load Chapter 46 (see the last post above) 3. Continue playing and save / load games as normal.
