Age of consent is 16 in some states in America and 16 in japan, it should be fine

...well true actually i forgot to take into account that age only represents the ability to give consent in America, meaning with many different things but i think theres rules where its 16 like 18+ year olds could get charged with a felony like uh sexual relations with a minor or smth idk, it has its own rules and consent isn't just for sex.

Only within a couple of years. it's still against the law for an adult to have relations with a 13 year old. As it should be. This law only exists to ensure that teenagers can't be prosecuted for having relations with each other. Same thing with many places (but not all) where it is 16. Regardless, an adult should never have relations like that with a teenager weather it's legal or not.
