Somewhat odd question. I have downloaded this on mac, and I have been getting an error that it cannot be opened. Is there something I should be opening it with?

No, the game should just open as-is. However on Mac you might have some hoops to go through because the executable is not "signed" (that's an Apple security thing. I don't have a Mac so I'm not sure how exactly it works today but there should be an option in the Preferences to allow unsigned apps to run. Try checking it out, hopefully it works
