This is the best visual novel I've played and one of my favorite games!! It brings me such a powerful feeling of existentiality, loneliness and happiness.
The art, music, dialogue and pacing was amazing and conveyed every emotional beat well!! The ideas expressed and the atmosphere reminded me of Serial Experiments Lain or Evangelion (in a good way) but that's not really saying a lot because this game is so cool and something of its own <33
Asya as an unreliable narrator was sooo good and I related to her on many occasions. On the topic of characters, I loved them all!! They all reminded me of myself and the friendships I've had in a nostalgic and melancholic way. The setting and story also made me invested in a way I haven't been in a while!
All in all, I totally recommend playing Z.A.T.O.!! The story is intriguing, the art is inspirational in a way that makes me want to grab a pencil and start drawing something of my own, and the game is really memorable 💖
