It probably has to do with the dev team being so small that they can't go back into the beginning of the story and update each profile. It would take around a day or two to just re-read to the part where they need to update at minimum, and extra time taken away from writing one of the 4 stories they're making. I wish the team was bigger and more people knew about it since they could fix some issues with the lore and code.
