Is this like, finished?

There appears to be a stamina mechanic but nowhere does it say how it works, then there's a few instances where the rules aren't clearly outlined. For example: for the Zombie Horde, it says there are 3-6 zombies, but not how to determine that. And does that mean that each zombie attacks independently, AND hits on 4-6 (assumedly for 1 damage each) or do they attack all together just once?

Additionally, how weapons and ammo are used. The starting weapon can be a knife, pistol, or bat. Okay so does only the pistol use ammo? And if they all work the same, why would you choose a pistol over a melee weapon that doesn't use ammo?

Why is it possible to deal 2 damage when every zombie only has 1 HP? Can you spread that out between zombies or something?

Also the infection mechanic isn't clear. Does a severe infection get tracked with the minor infection? Can severe infection penalties stack?

How does combat even go. Do you always attack first, then the zombies, and just go back and forth.

When can medkits/food be used.

Why does Scavenger say it  finds loot on 5–6 instead of just 6, when it doesn't say anywhere that you roll to find loot. Just what you find on the loot table when you loot. Otherwise the scavenger just gets a better selection when looting.

And what can a crafting material craft?

Finally, what is considered an "item" for when it says that you do something with an item. And how exactly does trading with another survivor work.

This is a very intriguing little system. It just seems like the rules sheet needs an overhaul to make everything more clear.

I noticed the same issues.

For stamina, I copied HP, 3 ST, When ST == 0, then you can't flee.

Horde, everyone attacks per turn. I roll at 1d6 to pick who attacks first each round (1-3 player, 4-6 a Z) -

2 Damage weapons is for when you find survivors.

Infection, just as you described,

Medkits are used anytime, anywhere, it's a get out of jail free card. I use them at the end of a turn.

Food is used as a choice of move, search or rest. Resting is the only way to get stamina back.

So much is really based on story telling. No so much on hard rules. Tell a good story 1st then follow a rule.

A full game can take as short as 20 minutes to as long as 2 hours. So much depends on how much you want to journal.

If you journal, as chatgpt or gemini to give you 35 different location that a small town would have. Then ask it to provide a one or two sentence describing the location. This can give you the 25 locations needed to play the game. I will put the list in a spreadsheet and randomly assign 1-25 and discard the rest. This gives me flavor text when journaling.

Best of luck.

thanks for the feedback, this is still being worked on. I'll revise the rules soon just released this to gain feedback if I need to fix anything.

Keep up the good work!

thank you for playing and providing some feedback. I took some time to revise the game let me know what you think
