Hi! If I'm not mistaken, the developer shared some information on his Patreon quite a while ago, saying that the game would be released by the end of the year, since it’s going to be a pretty big update. What I'm saying comes from his last post on Patreon, and that information is available for free. The exact words are these:
'Heya, here is a short post for people wondering about when and what will be in the upcoming release. The full release will add about two updates worth of content which will be the last chapter and the ending. Currently I have completed around half of that work, so if everything goes smoothly the game will be done towards the end of the year. That being said, the game will initially only be available on Steam. I will provide a good chunk of supporters with a beta key before it gets to the public. Hope that helps and thanks for the patience!'"
