Idk if Mac has the same info as windows, but I fixed the issue by deleting the older of the two files. I had to do it a few more times to get the traceback.txt to stop appearing, but it ultimately worked.
Check the "last edited" date for both files. I opened both folders in separate windows to make it easier to compare. If you're asking where to find the files, just follow the specified paths. "game" folder>"3v events" folder>"character_random_dialogues.rpy" file and find the other file to compare.
