Any updates from this point? I am only just now finding the game, and I enjoy it a lot!

I’m really glad you found Embark! and that you’ve been enjoying it. Thank you for taking the time to reach out.
For a full and transparent update: I’ve brought on a collaborator who has been instrumental in refining mechanics, tightening the rules, and solving some long-standing system kinks. We’ve been developing steadily, though not quickly, and while we can’t give a timeline, progress is very much happening.
One of the bigger changes we’re exploring is a shift toward an xd6 dice-pool system. It’s still in testing, so nothing is final, but early results have been promising. The goal is to streamline resolution, create more consistent outcomes, and give players interesting ways to manage risk. If we decide to move forward with it, we’ll make sure to share examples and updates.
A lot has shifted in the RPG landscape since I first released Embark. The rise of newer systems like Daggerheart and Shadowdark has pushed the whole scene to evolve, which has been exciting to watch. But those changes haven’t discouraged me. If anything, they’ve clarified that there is still a strong niche for classless, levelless design.
My goal with Embark remains the same: empower players with flexible options, expand magic beyond traditional daily limits, and give narrators clear guardrails that keep the game fun without letting things spiral out of balance. I still believe in what this system can offer, and I’m committed to moving it forward. I'm hoping we have a update with the new year, but with the changes we've made it may take a bit more time. We'll keep you posted once we have a more playable update.
