Very much agree with the comment below. I had a really hard time playing my MC's part, honestly, because of this. I understand not wanting the character you play to be bland and boring but their behavior made me so uncomfortable every time they interacted with Jayce, who in my opinion was written relatively well compared to the MC. A suggestion regarding how to shape up the mc's personality would to be to have different dialogue, thought or action options for the player to choose from, that vary between them, while also having some personality (said personality can, again, vary like if you have a 'character' selection screen when you start the game and the player gets to choose what loosely based type of personality the mc will have in a gameplay.) sprinkled throughout the story. I, however, did like the little bit of backstory the MC has, and it is interesting.
But overall, the creator will choose what they'll do, both with the story and the MC, because I recall seeing quite a few people being put off by how the MC acts.
I would like to clarify that this is by no means an attack on the creator, nor do I want to sound mean and/or aggressive by this comment. It's because I like the game that I want it to be better. It has much potential, and I want to see it and the creator grow. But again, with the way the MC behaved, it would be an understatement to say it that put me off and made me super uncomfortable.
