It's ok honestly I'm not that great of a 3d modeler either. However if you're looking for models of the steam locomotives to convert I highly recommend looking at Trainz models. There are plenty of them out there. K&L Trainz has made plenty of Strasburg Railroad models so that may be a good place to start
As for the fps drop I'm not sure what caused that but I definitely can't work the map like that
