Extremely solid of a concept!
I think the only game that comes close to this concept is Dungeonland that was on Steam and Resident Evil Resistance (which is completely dead thanks to progression being tied to lootboxes that cost over 100 hours to unlock just the stat boosts).
Even if this never gets finished I’d love to see more games like this one show up it was a lot of fun to play even if the controls were a little bit sensitive (tiny movement on controller sends you spinning out of control on lowest sens) and jumping only worked if you asked nicely, placing things sometimes worked if you left the grid and came back to the place. Getting to be the bad guy and planning ahead whenever the player finds a keycard adds a lot of more depth than just slapping mobs randomly.
