I'll be honest. I refuse to read anything after the previous update when we lost Ayeon 😭. I refuse to let go of Alex, Loken, Mylo, Takhi(sp?), and especially Byte. Byte was one of the best written characters I've seen in any fictional story, FVN or not. He's funny, innocent, lost, caring, compassionate, etc and he's not even "real!" I refuse to live in a world where the love Loken finally found and understood in Alex is gone. I refuse to read about a pain 😢 especially for someone who doesn't have the ability to properly understand how emotions work, he will have to go through having lost his father, then his lover all in a few days. I can't, and don't want to, read about him learning about the emotion known as loss and heartbreak 💔. I can't read about Mylo losing the only person he thought cared about him, especially after losing Ayeon. I can't know what he feels when he learns what happened, what he does when he learns he's lost the only person who lit that spark, that fire 🔥 is his soul. The only person who had any chance of understanding him and how he thinks, and who doesn't scold him or think he's strange because of how he thinks. Then there's Byte. I just, I loved him as a character. He was written so well, he was like a snarky teenager but without all the nastiness. SoulCreek is one story I really didn't want to end, it was just so well written. Kinda like Remember the Flowers, Home Zomewhere Else, Devil's Gambit, Far Beyond the World, Lyre, Roads yet Traveled, Northern Lights, and Rain Check. All are my favorites, especially Lyre, Northern Lights, & RyT.

You should check out echo, I was bored and expected horny, all I found was pain and horror, I fucking loved it

I made that mistake already. Actually, the first ever FVN I'd ever read/found was Arches. I don't even remember how I came across itch, or the story itself. As you must know, Arches is about the worst novel any person could read as their first foray into the genre. Not to mention, it doesn't really conform to what most think the genre to be. There's no full on animal based consensual intercourse. The story is very heavily nuanced & extremely well written. It seems to have changed the landscape of FVN's forever for the better. The emotions one goes though while reading it, Rollercoaster doesn't even begin to describe what it does to the reader, and it's all the better for it, imo.
